Following the resounding welcome it received last week, Chaat room continues this week. Come by to savour the mouth-watering delicacies. Chaat is a traditional roadside cuisine that had its origins in the fast-paced streets of Mumbai.
Our menu for June 19th, 2007:
Pani Puri- $3.00
Shells of wheat flour filled with a spicy mix of potatoes and tamarind water.
Plain Dosas - $3.00
- a crepe with a rice and lentil base that is served with Sambar (a soup made with lentils, vegetables and spices). For any South Indian, the world isn't an illusion, its simply made of Dosas!
Masala Dosa- $5.00
- a dosa with a stuffing of a spicy potato and onion mix.
Upma - $3.00
- a light snack made from wheat semolina and assorted vegetables.
Tomato Rice - $3.00
- Tomato and rice blended together with a rich selection of Indian spices.
Vegetable Biriyani - $4.00
- a hot, savoury rice dish with a mix of delicately cooked vegetables and exquisite condiments. So tempting, it'll make you forget your waistline, atleast for a little while
Paal payasam - $2.00
- an Indian rice pudding that's the star attraction at every occasion.
